FUNERAL PROCESSION
FOR THE EARTH

"Our collective grief, varied as our reactions to it may be, can bind us together when it seems like nothing else will. It is one lens through which we can recognize our shared humanity. None of this prevents life from moving forward, but it’s our best shot at bringing everybody along."

- Sunita Puri

At MEC, we have been talking about how it often feels difficult to find joy these days, which makes it harder to be inspired and to inspire others towards learning, growing and changing how we all engage with our Earth. We found that we need to make space for grief, to open our hearts, minds, and bodies and let the continuous flow of loss wash over us. We've begun holding collective mournings by giving the Earth Funeral Processions.
